What does it mean to be on the board for Community Threads?

Board Members have a tremendous responsibility. They are stewards of all aspects of Community Threads: management, finances, and quality; set strategic direction, build community relationships; establish ethical standards, values, and compliance; and more importantly it is their example that sets the tone for the membership. Oftentimes their dedication alone inspires others.

Meeting frequently, Board Members discuss strategic issues and determine the best allocation of limited resources. When a new “need” arises, they work with the growing Community Threads community to step up and provide for those individuals and families. Through the board and its members, Community Threads provides courage and a unique sense of empowerment to those individuals impacted by life changes as well as dignity and peace of mind to older adults. The Community Threads’ Board has shown their leadership and generosity by volunteering their time and numerous talents to stitch our community together, one thread at a time!
